Copic Challenge

This weeks Copics Challenge, a combination of colours that I wouldn't normally use. As my friends little girl is 2 years old this week, I thought these would be perfect for the stamp that I had in mind for a card.

This week I have 2 of the colours, RV02, YG03 and for BG02 I used BG01.

Rabbit Stamp by Dimension Fourth

BG01 and B00, RV 02 and RV00, YG03 and YG00 for the rabbit.
Backing Papers are by Rita Marie
Nestibilites and cuttlebug folder, clear spica pen, white pen and Glossy Accents
Ribbons, flowers and buttons

Now to link

This week

Another week gone by and I have neglected the blog yet again. Not entirely my fault, unable to get on the computer!!! Not been able to book a slot. This week has been quite stressful, hence the extra cards!! The card below was made for a work colleague's birthday, as you can guess he is cricket mad so with a combination of Paper Nation backing paper, the cricketer stamp by Dimension Fourth and Glossy accents, here it is!!

My second card is my favourite colours again, sorry folks not very imaginative but I love these papers!! The stamp, another of Stamping Bella's, this one is called Daisy Bittabloom and is gorgeous and available from Stamps and Memories along with the backing papers, Copic Pens and Glossy Accents, yes still love my pens!!

Anyway another blog to post, my Copic Challenge for the week, see you soon!

Copics Challenge

This week I thought I would have a go at the Copics challenge, first time for everything but I really don't think I am good enough yet. The colours this week are some of my favourites which is why I had the urge to have a go.

I had two of the three colours but used YG67 instead of YG63.

The stamp I have used is Spring Blossoms by Sarah Kay with Wild Blossoms papers by Dovecraft.
I have used R35 for the flowers with 100 for the flower middle.
The trousers are YR04 and YR02
The hat is YG67, YG00 and YG41
The bow YR02 and YR04
Skin E53
Top YG00 and YG41
R35 for the Mulberry Petaloo flowers with 100 for the flower middle.
C1 for the shears with Clear Spica.
The Bow and flower centres are topped off with Glossy Accents.
Now all I have to do is link it!!
Bye for now

Quick Card

This is a card that I made in a hurry for a 50th birthday, Copic Pens and lots of Glossy Accents on the windows and head lights and I loved it. The stamp is a Dimension Fourth stamp that I bought at Newbury Show the other week with a changed number plate!! I think it would be a good idea if it was left blank so you would then be able to add your own personilisation!! I actually bought the stamp for my daughter as she loves minis but it wasn't the mini that she hoped for!!!

Bye for now

Another Evening with Wendy

Hi there, another evening with Wendy and I am now the proud owner of a few more stamps and Copic Pens, just making the most of it before Hubby is made redundant next week. Our Hubbys are very good friends, in fact they have known each other longer than we have known them, so we have them to thank for our friendship but shh we won't tell them........! Unfortunately it's the end of the evening fishing matches so we will just have to pursuade them they need to see each other mid week so we can have a get together!!
I have a confession........, I only made one card and I was with Wendy for hours!! Wendy beat me this week and made two but I refused to join her in making Christmas Cards as I have all of these lovely stamps that I haven't used yet and it's only July!! So last evenings card is another Stamping Bella, not one of my new ones but one of Wendys that I borrowed, she is called Peoni Bittybloom and is lovely, I just had to use the red Copics to blend. I am always wary of using black on cards but I just love the result of this one and hope you like it too.

That's all for today, another card calls!!!

Sorry

Whoops, I have neglected my blog!! Life has been really hectic but I have found a little time to finish off some cards. I have just realised that all of the cards have the same paper on them, one of many of the Rita Marie Papers available from Wendy at Stamps and Memories. It just shows how versatile the paper is, as it has been used with many combinations of colours.

The card above is another of the lovely Stamping Bella stamps called Matilda Muffinbread, again coloured with Copic Ciao pens and the wings and bows have been glittered.

The second card is Roses Garden, one of my favourites of the Sarah Kay stamps. A different colour combination from the card I made for Wendy but just as lovely, again Copic Ciao, Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents, I love them all!!!

The next is one of many Leigh Hannan designs produced by Impression Obsession called Zinnias and available from yes you guessed Stamps and Memories. Wendy and I just love the white flora doodle flowers as these can be coloured to the colour of your choice with Copic Ciao and can produce the perfect match for your card.

Any way that's all for today, back to crafting!!

Evening with Wendy

Not too productive I'm afraid, too much chat but we had lots of catching up to do!!! LOL I know we had only seen each other at Newbury Show but just too busy to talk. Well I have a huge confession! I finished off a card before I went to work this morning, how bad is that and I was still in the office by 8am, yes totally mad!!

My cards today are Stamping Bellas, not my stamps I might add, these are Wendy's but I might just have to buy these because I love them and I think that is a good enough reason. LOL

Patricia Birthday cake below coloured with, yes you've guessed, Copic Ciao!!! Papers are by Rita Marie and all available from Wendy at Stamps and Memories.

Next card is Gardenia Greenthumb again with Copic Ciao and my favourite papers of the moment, Bloom&Grow by My Minds Eye.

That's all for today!!

Favourites

I'm back, the PC was free!! Just a short post today as I'm off to visit Wendy in a mo. Have managed a couple of cards this weekend. The first one is one of my favourite stamps and favourite designers. It's called Strawberries designed by Leigh Hannan who has produced some fantastic design for Impression Obsession. Again coloured with Copic Ciao. Unfortunately the colour has not come out too well, the backing paper is actually green and white checked, any ideas to enhance the colour would be greatfully received!!

My second card is Eloise Greengrass by Stamping Bella and I just love the sparkle on her wings, a quicky glue pen and glitter. Again coloured with Copic Ciao. Wendy is trying to persuade me to write down the colours of the pens as I use them but I get carried away and forget!! LOL!!

Anyway that's all for today!!

New Stamps from Newbury Show

Well at long last I have managed to book my slot on the pc and as Wendy from Stamps and Memories has now mentioned my blog I thought I had better post a couple more cards!! And thank you to Wendy for posting one of my cards on her blog, not worked out how to link into it yet though!! No doubt my technical skills will improve in time or not as my family would say. I will confess to Charlotte having had a small hand in creating this blog but only a very small part of it.
Well whilst at Newbury last SaturdayI picked up some new stamps that caught my eye and thought I would have a play. The first card is using a Stamping Bella Stamp called Krista's Vase, coloured with Copics Ciao pens and mounted on Bloom & Grow 6 x 6 papers by My Mind's Eye. I have also used the Martha Stewart simple scallop punch, all of this is available at Stamps and Memories. I just love the result!!

The second card is a gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamp that I have admired for a while, I think it was bought from the Hobby House stand but I'm not sure. Again coloured with Copic Ciao pens and using the simple scallop Martha Stewart punch. For the detail on the trousers, hairband and bows, I have used the Spica pens and Glossy Accents. Anyone who knows me will also know how much I love to use my Glossy Accents!!! And I love anything that sparkles .........

Well my time is up, so I'm off now to create another card or two, will be back soon!!

The Beginning

After spending Saturday at Newbury Racecourse helping Wendy from Stamps and Memories, I decided that perhaps now is the right time to start a blog. Why I thought that I shall never know!! Name your blog posed the first problem! After many attempts and dismissing the name of "Senior Moments" that my daughter suggested, we finally got there. Now what to put on it? The initial idea was the cards that I have made, as the name suggests. Second problem, Wendy has my cards!! After searching the computer and the camera I have come up with 3,not brilliant but they will do for a start.

The first exploding box card was made for the 18th birthday of my cousin Emma, the first 2 layers of flaps were decorated with photographs of her from a baby to the middle photo of her now.

The second card was made for the 21st birthday of a work colleague, I decorated the flaps with messages from each member of staff in the office which I thought was a little bit different to all signing a card. The numbers and butterfly were attached to acetate strips and fed through the base.

Now my 3rd card for today is totally different. I just love my copic pens!! I attended a Copic class run by Karen Watson and Wendy Kadzidlo from Stamps and Memories a couple of months ago and now I am hooked!! I thoroughly recommend this if you get the chance. As you can guess the Retirement card is coloured with copic pens, the stamps that I have used are a combination of Retire in Style by Woodware and Shed by High Hopes. I was so pleased with the result.

Anyway enough for today must get back to crafting!!
