Well another year over and what a year it has been!! If someone had said to me this time last year that I would be out of work now, I would have thought they were on another planet!! I know that I volunteered for redundancy but when there was 32,000 of us that had to go, it was best to volunteer than be pushed. So now to look forward to 2012!!
This little card is the one that I made for my daughter, my first attempt at a side step card. I thoroughly enjoyed making this one, lots of glue and glitter, cutting and sticking and generally making a mess, lol!! There are still a few challenges left running that I can enter it into, so here we go

How did you guess, yes I have only just started making my Christmas Cards!!! Not good, panic is just starting to set in!! Cards to make, cards to write, pressies to buy and wrap, food to buy, baking to be done and to top it all off, it's the family birthday season with mine tomorrow, hubbys next Friday and Mums next Sunday and that's after having arranged a 21st party for Charlotte!!! Oh and I forgot, decs to put up, which don't go up until after the birthdays, eek!!! On to my card, this little card is for my friends daughter who is 4 years old and looks just like little Holly!! Busy, busy, busy

Hi folks, sorry I have not been about, I am finding it quite difficult to settle into everyday life now that I am a lady of leisure. After being routined for the last 33 years, I really don't know where to start!! Anyway I have got through the lie-in phase and am now raring to go, well not quite raring but have a bit more enthusiasm than I did have, hence the early crafting yesterday morning resulting in my pjs being covered in Glamour Dust!! That was the start of this card, I then packed up my stuff and off I trundled to Wendy's of Stamps and Memories to chat and craft and managed to get Glamour Dust all over the floor there too!! I did have a lovely day though and managed to finish my card, yes only one, more chat than craft, whoops! I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

Happy birthday Dad

This is the card that I made for my FIL a few weeks ago. The result of a Friday evening in a hotel room with my Copic pens. I was away for the weekend on the brilliant Copicific retreat run by Wendy from Stamps and Memories and Dawny P, such a fun weekend with brilliant company and lots of lovely food and crafting. I went down the evening before, booked into my room, promptly re-arranged all the lighting in the room and coloured away!!! I was really pleased with the result, especially as I thought it would look like a woodpecker by the time I had finished with it!!

Back and have the bug!!

I cannot believe that my last blog was in June, sorry folks. Explanation, well I have just worked the longest and hardest 17 weeks notice ever, with a minor op for me and Mum having a heart attack in the middle of it. My first two weeks have been spent in a daze to be honest, I have been wandering around aimlessly wondering where to start but after planning a 21st birthday party for Charlotte my first major project was crafting!!!!! So here is her birthday card which I am going to enter into the following challenges:

I decided on a book card because I really needed something to get my teeth into to wind down and am so pleased with the result I now want to make another one!!

This is the inside left and I have used a Sqigglefly image by Crissy Armstrong, I just love her images. The leafy frond thing is from a Sizzlets die. The little pocket contained a cheque.

Late again!!

Hi Folks, well it has taken me a whole week to make this little card and by the time I get around to blogging it, the challenges that I was going to enter it into have closed!!! Just not enough hours in the day!! Hopefully within the next week, I will have found out if I can "retire" or not, so I will be able to craft and blog until my hearts content, that's after I have caught up with 25 years worth of housework of course!!! So fingers crossed for me as I shall be gutted if I don't get selected. This little card is really not me at all, but I must say I really enjoyed making it and the image was a joy to colour. I even managed to mask Tilda and it was pure luck that she is balancing on the edge of that barrell, lol. Looks a bit lop sided but I think we all would if we were sat on an anchor!!! Anyway the sketch I have used is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday , I may be in time for My Time to Craft which was Xtra image but definitely not in time for ABC which was X marks the spot - a Pirate Theme.

Hi folks, just had to prove to Jenny that I don't always make my cards the day before or on the day that it is needed!! This one is ready to go!! Life is still hectic and I am still extremely tired, hope the tablets kick in soon or I shall be asleep at my desk by 9am!! Anyway I really enjoyed making this card, didn't think I liked Teddy Bo but have changed my mind. A little bit different ............

I'm beginning to worry that perhaps cute little girl stamps are not for me, as the last few cards have been animals or creatures!!! Whoops, had better get my act together and get them inked!!! At the moment I need something that I can lose myself in so the more challenging the better!! Anyhow I coloured up this image months ago and as I have orders from Jenny to get them made into cards I thought I better had!! It took me all day today to put this together as I had nothing to go with it, so totally out of my comfort zone I created my own paper. Anyway not sure I like the result but Hey Ho it's a card!! Well, it's not quite a month since my last post and I haven't managed Jenny's challenge either, sorry!!! I do think I am getting better, you lot might not think so but I am trying honest!! I have a few health issues at the mo, which explains my constant fatigue etc but I won't bore you with that. This weekend just gone was a rare occasion for Neil and I, we actually had a weekend in London, I had managed to get tickets to see Roger Walters perform The Wall at the O2. amazing or what!! We were 4 rows from the front, so spoilt, and such a fantastic experience. If there are any Pink Floyd fans reading this, we both thoroughly recommend going to see it if you get the chance. Even though I don't blog as often I as should, I do still colour and create, it just takes a while to all come together!!! Any how, this is what I have been doing lately, playing with a Hougie board to demonstrate at the Kintbury show yesterday. Sorry folks, life is so hectic at the mo and as I got told off yesterday for not blogging, I thought I had better do some! My weekend away seemed months ago now and it was a fab weekend, I met some amazing talented ladies and we had such a laugh together, so I would just like to say thank you to them all for being such fun and making the weekend so enjoyable. And not forgetting Wendy from Stamps and Memories and Karen Watson for organising the whole weekend and for whom we are truly grateful!! Thank you both ....... we are now all looking forward to the next one in October, if any one is interested pop across to Stamps and Memories for the details!

because tomorrow I'm off on the Copicific weekend with Karen, Wendy and a group of others to the Devere Hotel near Abingdon. Wendy from Stamps and Memories has been organising it for a while now with Karen Watson, two lovely ladies I might add, both who I know at the moment are dreading it and what are they going to get? A hyper Jo, just what they need!! He He!!! Just me and my pens, pure bliss!! I am going to be unbearable at work tomorrow, well more than usual, may have to have an early finish!!! Shhhhh ............!!! But can you believe it, Wendy has the classes starting at 9am in the morning on Saturday and Sunday, can't a girl have a lie in. But better late than never.................... Sorry Emma!!!! Life is still hectic for me and Mum is recovering well from her operation, hopefully will be more mobile soon. This little card was described as awesome by Emma, never had a card called that before!!! As red and black are my least favourite colours to create with Copics, it took me 3 evenings to colour it and it was my first attempt with a digi. Anyway, I am going to enter it into 4 challenges this week.

Just a quick post today, to apologise again and explain that I really haven't desserted you all !!! I am having to spend some time staying with my Mum as she has just had a replacement knee op and as she lives on her own, is in need of help. So am back in my old bedroom at home surrounded in boxes as Mum is such a hoarder, it's like sleeping in cardboard city!!! Just no room for craft stuff, no Sky TV, no mobile phone coverage and no internet, I am now convinced I was brought up in the most remote village in Wiltshire!!! Not really, but that's what it feels like!! I have managed to pop home for a while and thought I would do a quick post whilst I have the chance!!

Happy New Year to you all, hope I'm not too late, well it is still January!!! Hopefully this is my return to blogland after a rather long break. I'm really sorry that I have been absent but my job moved and I'm really not coping with the travelling. I try to get one journey a day in the day light which means I have to leave really early to be able to leave early if you know what I mean!!! A new Tilda!!!

What a shock, I hear you say, Jo has bought a Tilda!!! I do like Tilda but I just wish she had a mouth!! I'm sure I can't be the only one that thinks that way. Anyway this little beauty is sideways on so it doesn't matter to me!!!

Anyway, this qualifies for Totally Tilda which is Lavender and Lace, I have used a lace punch , I hope that counts and Just Magnolia which is a sketch. I'm back and a long post!!

Firstly, I must apologise for my absence. Life has been so hectic recently with the change of location of my job, which has now doubled my journey and added an extra hour of travelling time to my day. My aim has been to get into work early so that I can finish earlier and get home at a reasonable time to have the evening to relax, but things don't always work out as planned, do they!!! To add to my stress I've had to change my car as the mondeo was too thirsty so hubby now drives this, after all it is his car, and my old one has gone!! Those of you that know me, will know that I have had to overcome my fear of small cars due to a nasty car accident 3 years ago, when had I been in a small car I wouldn't have survived. I'm still very unsure of it and every journey is a huge challenge to me but I am getting there.

I have still been crafting on and off, making the odd card for Wendy and birthday cards but always last minute and have forgot to photograph them. Last weekend I attended a Next Step Copics course which was being run by Wendy from Stamps and Memories and Karen Watson who is a great friend of Wendys. I had been involved in some of the preparation for this course but I still learnt so much from them both. Each time I attend the introduction to Copics Course, (yes, I have done this more than once!!!), I learn something new that I didn't take in the first time, so if you have the chance to attend one of these courses, go, they are so informative and great fun.

Anyway, on to todays card!! There is a story behind this card, hubby keeps lovebirds in aviarys in the garden, rather a lot of love birds, in all shapes, makes, colours and sizes, well you know what I mean!!!! So if I ever see anything with lovebirds on I usually buy it. This stamp I have had for a while and it had never seen any ink until last night when I decided it would be perfect for my Copic blending practice!!

Second of the day and a huge challenge!!

Well, I know that I don't blow my own trumpet often but I am so pleased with how I managed to colour this image!! I thought after I had bought it, that perhaps I was being rather ambitious, but have genuinely surprised myself just a shame about the quality of the photo, I was losing the natural light. It must be the Copic talents of Wendy and Karen rubbing off on me, but I still have so much to learn!! I think I will be using this image loads more, because I just love his gorgeous face and big paws!!! This card I am entering into a few challenges, the first being my favourite challenge

I can't believe it has been so long since I have blogged a card!!! We have been so busy and I now feel like a member of a grounds maintenance team!!! Hubby having taken on the fishing rights of a local lake, which also involves the maintenance of it, means that he has less time for other things so the work on the allotment has slipped behind. I have now been trained to use the petrol lawn mower and can dig the veg beds! I have spent the day today making a couple of cards as I have a really painful back, which speaks for itself!!

Oh my goodness, it's Sunday again, where has the week gone. I have made a couple of other cards this week but the first I forgot to photograph and the second is at Wendy's. Thank you everyone for your kind words about Tango, he is now on the road to recovery and over the last couple of days he has picked up and showing signs of his old self which is a great relief for us all. He has taken his tablets like an angel, no struggles, one handed with him sat on the sofa and straight down, bless him. Its a good job it was Tango and not Gizz as she would have given me trouble!! What a week!!! Lots of short days at work because Tango has been poorly. In case you don't know, Tango is a big ginger cat, the softest, cuddliest cat you could ever meet!!! We think he had been poisoned. I was so worried, that I was getting up in the middle of the night to see if he was OK, bless him. I hate seeing poorly animals especially when it is your own. So off to the vets we went, our vet is about 2 minutes drive from us and Tango cried pitifully all the way there and back as he hates the car!!!! Thankfully he is on the mend and been a very spoilt boy!!

Anyway today I have made this card, just noticed that the buttons look wonky but it is how it has been photographed, really not one of my better skills!!! I love colouring this image but am still not sure what colour monkeys are!! The card papers are a lovely aqua colour but have turned out grey again must get a better camera!! I am entering it into a few challenges,

Another quick post tonight I'm afraid and another new stamp!! Don't you just love these Nikki Stamps, I have several of them now and love the sentiments that go with them too. These are new in at Stamps and Memories and Wendy has a great selection of them. This card only fits into Sketch Saturday, I can't find anything else to enter it into. I coloured this image last evening, experimenting with the neutral grey copics to give her black trousers. I think I am improving a little, still need lots of practice though. Another card that hasn't photographed well, this is shocking pink and black card!!

Another card from Jo!!! Four days on the trot!! I've had a lovely day playing today, should have been doing the housework but that can wait!! We were going to go to the Bath and West Show ground, to the craft show as it is about an hour from us, but as hubby has only just started his new job, I decided that I would save up and perhaps go next year instead. Anyway Newbury show is fast approaching and I shall be there with Wendy, so hopefully will be able to have a spend there instead!! So that's my reason for today's crafting session, if I can't buy it, I may as well use it!!

Anyway this card is for Just Magnolia which is an open challenge , Sunday Sketch and Stamp which was a choice of one of 25 sketches and Our Creative Corner which is blossoms!!

Back again and really struggling!! I am trying to follow sketches but I am having problems when they have more than one layer!! I seem to have lost my colour co-ordination, not good. I am OK if they are nice and simple but some of them have got so complicated that I am avoiding them. I suppose it is because I like my cards to be straight and even etc. The thought of tearing and distressing petrifies me, so that is definetely a no go area, I may be brave one day!! Todays card is for the Papertake Weekly challenge which is a sketch and the Creative Card Crew which is Happy Birthday.

Let me introduce you to ...............

Our resident rat catcher, Tango, most often referred to as the "ginger furball". "Rat catcher?" I here you say," doesn't look like he catches rats". Well this was taken yesterday afternoon, after he had been on look out all day by the green house. As you can see exhausting work this rat catching. Yes, he had caught three young rats, "oh what a good boy" was that? I am sorry to say that the first two didn't survive, first one found dead on the living room floor and second one found dead on the lawn!!. "So what happened to number three", I hear you say? He brought it home to mum and let it go in her craftroom ..................... Now you know why he is not a good boy!!!!!!!!! I screamed and managed to keep an eye on where it went, Hubby to the rescue and he caught it by the tail. OMG, never a dull moment here!!!

Hubby has now spent all day today sorting out the top greenhouse and laying more concrete!!! Happy Sundays!!

Well on to today's card. This is totally out of my comfort zone. Very OTT and a Tilda!! I do own some of these little girls but they all face sideways or have their mouth covered as I so want to draw a face on them!! I have to thank lovely Vicky from Kips Cards for this lovely image that was sent as a RAK. Pop across and have a look at her work, it is amazing, I just wish I had her patience.

Back at work!!!

Back at work, can't you tell!!! Just had to make a card when I got home today and I was late in and left early!!!! Anyway the good news is that Hubby started his new job yesterday, after 8 months of being unemployed and with no income, he is now like a dog with two tails!!! All I want now is for him to earn enough for me to give up work!!! Don't think there is a lot of chance of that happening though. Anyway todays card, I am not really that pleased with it, there seems to be something missing and I'm not sure about the colour scheme but it fits the following challenges.

I was asked the question a few months ago, how do I store my ribbons? As today I am having a tidy up day I thought I would provide my answer. Spice Racks picked up at my local kitchen shop!! These are ideal for ribbons and stickles too. I am lucky enough to have a room that I can leave my craft stuff about , so hubby has put these up between shelves. How do other people store their ribbons?

Don't hold your breath, but I think Mr Mojo may be returning!! An invite by Wendy of Stamps and Memories to visit for the evening and her cheeky comment below and lots of really encouraging emails from Marianne plus all the lovely comments that you have all left has finally done it!! Before and After!!

As Mandy asked the question yesterday, I thought I would give you all a quick update!! We are nearly there, just a little work to be done on the brickwork inside and window cills to be fitted. Hubby, my dear father in law, my fab Uncle and dear friend Kev have all done so well. They have all worked so hard and in such awful weather conditions and as you can see, it has been

worth the wait!!

Another!!

Well, my basket of cards is now increasing nicely. I just seem to get a few up together and Mum comes and raids the stock. Does anyone else have this problem?!!! Bless her!! I am just loving my punches at the mo and after decoupaging this little butterfly, it made me realise that I actually miss my cutting. I was always a cutter rather than a stamper, as Wendy will tell you, I didn't do stamping but now what would I do with my Copic Pens, I just can't give them up. So perhaps this is a compromise!! This is another of Wendys stamps that I coloured up on Saturday, I really love them and think I may have to treat myself. I did buy a set but not these, mine have still to see the ink pad!! Shame on me.

Anyway on to todays card, it will definately do for Cute Card Thursday which is Blooming Gorgeous and it is a bit of an adaption of the Truly Scrumptious Sketch without one bit, just couldn't fit it on, will give it ago anyway. Here it is, hope you like it.

Another card from Jo, I hear you say must be having a bad week!! Well, lets just say it could be a lot worse but I have come home from work the last two evenings with the urge to craft rather than the need to craft!! So we are on the up at the mo!! And I must say, I am really enjoying it. I had a fab day on Saturday with Wendy at the sale in Kintbury, demonstrating the lovely Martha Stewart punches, making flowers with the Nellie punches and colouring away with the Copic Pens just pure bliss!! I loved it, just wasn't long enough though! It's a Girl!!

I'm not going to even apologise this week for being a bad blogger, just sooooo busy, with no time to craft and boy, do I need craft time at the mo!!! Am exhausted!! Long days again!!

Well me being my organised self, had a couple of baby boy images coloured up as I have so many friends and colleagues expecting at the moment and what happens, they have a girl!! I had convinced myself that the first one would be a boy!! So a girl card it is, sorry but got a bit carried away with this one. This card fits in with the pink and grey theme over at Cute Card Thursday and the what's new theme at Crafty Cardmakers this week.

Oh no, a really bad blogger again!! My poor Mojo has left me and every card is a struggle at the moment, I really need to be inspired. I had a trip to Wendys on Saturday afternoon, we should have been at the Kintbury Sale but Wendy has been really poorly and had to cancel. The roads in Berkshire were atrocious, OK if you're on the M4 but we weren't. Anyway, I spent loads of cash and came home with lots of new stash!! As I am really fed up with this horrible weather and the fact that I have had to go back to work after Christmas, I thought bright and cheerful is the order of the day!! So beware folks!! I'm back but not my Mojo!!

Hi folks, I hope you had a fab Christmas and a Happy New Year and that everyone is back to normality, whatever that is!! We have had a nice relaxing weekend after a rather hectic time over Christmas, in fact yesterday I had a pyjama day!! Shame on me!! Think I'm probably too old for a pyjama day, but I had one anyway!! On to my card ............... Mojo gone not good at all and not happy with this card, my fault for not finding time for me! Picture is rubbish too, will try and take one in the daylight, tomorrow. Firstly, I would like to wish all my followers and everyone in blog land a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, as I think this may be my last post before Christmas or else it is not going to happen in this house!! Secondly, conservatory update, it's not going to be this Christmas, that's all I am going to say as I am so disappointed!! But to be fair the weather has been against us since we started.

Happy Christmas Charlotte!!

Oh my gosh, I didn't realise how long it has been since I blogged, I'm really sorry folks!!! I just don't seem to have anytime to do anything these days. I came home early today as I have the lovely cold virus that is going about and feel absolute rubbish, a nice way to spend your birthday!! Yes, tomorrow is the big day when I enter my 50th year, what a thought!!! Can I go backwards now? Please . . . . . At least I have the day off and will be able to do a bit of catching up with writing my Christmas Cards and wrapping, that's if I don't fall over the conservatory in the process!!! Yes it has been delivered but is now spread about the house!!! It is everywhere. I have told hubby that I'm not eating my Christmas lunch off of window frames!! How many of you would put up with this?!!

Anyway enough of my complaining, I have made this card for Charlotte for Christmas and it fits in with five challenges.

So seven things about me, could be difficult and I hope I don’t bore you!!

1. I have been crafting on and off since I was about 8 years old, having been taught to knit by my Uncle and taught to crochet by my Aunt who were both left handed and I am right!!
2. I inherited my dressmaking skills from my great-grandmother and Mum, who used to dabble by making my clothes when I was little.
3. I have made 5 ballgowns, 8 wedding dresses, 42 bridesmaid dresses, 5 page boy outfits and 3 christening gowns for family and friends for the love of it!!
4. I can’t draw for a toffee!!
5. I have an awful fear of flying and spent the whole trip to Australia looking ahead watching the route map!!
6. I was involved in a head on collision, cut out of my car and airlifted to hospital 2 years ago. I was more concerned with being in the back of the helicopter than being strapped to the spinal board!!
7. All I want in life is for us all to be happy, healthy and the world to be at peace, and to retire so I can craft to my hearts content!!! Oh and just thought of another thing, for my conservatory to be finished before this Christmas!!

Firstly I must apologise for neglecting my blog and all of my blogging buddies. Life has been so hectic this last week at work, I have been working long days and have just had no spare time to craft :( Christmas is approaching far too fast for my liking and I still have stamps that haven't been inked, shame on me!!! I have managed to put a couple of cards together today, nothing spectacular but two more for the pile.

A little peek at my mud bath in the back garden!! Not good, why on earth I agreed to this building work at this time of the year I shall never know!! The man in the photo is my 80 year old father in law, who is making a fantastic job of the brick laying!! Apparantly there are another two layers of bricks to go, so we may be done before Christmas!! What more could I ask for but an extra craft room!! Fingers crossed!!

Well folks that's me for today, I have a day off tomorrow to try and tackle the Christmas present shopping which I am not looking forward to, especially as the day could have been spent crafting!!!

Another forgotten birthday!!!

Another card I can hear you say, another forgotten birthday more like!! I hate this time of year, the birthdays start at the end of October and go right through to January!! Being a right misery now aren't I!!! Sorry, stressful week hence the number of cards!! Conservatory update - we are up to damp course level, slow but sure but the weather has been atrocious and I have been told that you can't build in the rain so there is just no hope!!! I'm really convinced now that completion date is next Christmas, am so glad that I didn't agree to the storage in the living room!! Well on to todays card, this one is for the Copic Colour Challenge and I have used the sketch from the Sophisticat Challenge

One card for lots of Challenges!!

I really don't know where the time is going, only five weeks left until Christmas and I have made a few cards and nothing else!! Not quite into panic mode yet but it's getting close!!

Conservatory update is they wanted to deliver next Tuesday, Hubby had ideas of storing it in the living room whilst the brickwork is completed!! With only three rows of bricks down I was having none of it, I have come across his "it will be ready for Christmas" before, he never says which Christmas. I agreed to a delay in delivery of two weeks, so my builders have to get their act together!! Watching Neil and his Dad together is so funny, what one isn't doing the other is thinking about, a right pair of characters and I wouldn't want them any other way!

I made this card over the last two nights, not very good am I, so have found a few challenges to enter.

Flower Power

Last week end was Charlotte our DD's birthday, but with a funeral etc we didn't manage to see her : ( so we arranged to go to visit today. Whilst talking to her last night I was made feel very guilty as I had committed the biggest sin ever and bought her a birthday card!! Three hours plus later and in the early hours of the morning, my finished product!! If you knew Charlotte, this is so her, I can see her one day living in one of these Camper Vans!! She is so not flowery but this card was a hit, after all how could I not put flowers with this image. This is one of the lovely Little Claire stamps which I don't use as much as I ought and should because it is fab to colour with Copic Markers and I can use loads of Glossy Accents too!!!

Hopefully I will get around to entering some challenges this week. Just don't seem to have enough hours in the day and desperately need some time at home after spending nearly seven hours in a car today, it took us four hours to do a two hour journey because part of the M25 was closed!!! Deep joy!!!

An Evening with Wendy!!

Due to Hubby being "sacked" from his new job for not turning up with a horrendous sickness bug on Saturday would you believe, and yes he was working in a food distribution depot for a very reputable food store, I had an unexpected visit to Wendy's last evening!!! And what a creative evening we had too. Wendy had got in a couple of sets of punches to try, one for Wend and one for Jo of course, we have to try these things out first as they might not be any good!! Well I just loved them, I managed to make these beautiful flowers and now so want to make more!! So watch this space for more easel cards and flowers as I love them both!! he he!!

I Remember You

As I said "Goodbye" to my Uncle on Friday, the last of my Dad's generation and it is the time of year that we remember, I thought I would do something with a totally different meaning to the everyday birthday card or a card for the fast approaching Christmas festivities. This card is now sat on my mantelpiece to remind me of my relatives and friends who have now left us and for those who fought for our country to give us the quality of life that we have now. Not forgetting those that have been lost in the more recent conflicts.

One of my childhood memories is of my dear gran, singing along with Frank Ifield singing I remember you at the top of her voice, as he was her favourite. As this weeks Penny Black Challenge is a song title, this is the only stamp that I have that I can make a song out of!!!

So Gran wherever you are, this card is for you. x x x

Sorry Beca, Auntie Joanne is late again!!! Poor Beca, I am always late for her birthday, bless her, she's used to me by now though. I came across this gorgeous Digi stamp on Wendy's Digital Doodling blog and it's a freebie. The end of another week!!

Another busy week and not a lot of crafting done again!!! The footings are dug and concreted for the conservatory, bricklaying next. That will be a challenge for Hubby. FIL is going to help as he is more skilled than Hubby at bricklaying, the only thing that worries me is that he has had his 80th birthday this week.....................

I have had a visit to Wends this week but the cards were a combined effort so they are for the Stamps and Memories blog. I came away with a few goodies though!!! Whoops!!! A whole week's gone by!!!

Oh dear, where has the week gone, am so sorry I just haven't made contact with the craft room for nearly a whole week and then it has taken me two evenings to make this card!! Not good!! Well our week, old conservatory has finally come down, wall has been knocked down, bricks and building materials have arrived. And all been carried through the house as we have no back access to the garden anymore, all one thousand bricks by wheelbarrow. Good job I'm a patient wife!!! And guess what, Hubby has got himself another job!!! Good news, be it only temporary until Christmas, but what about my nice new conservatory (summer craft room)?? I suppose the bricks will be there for a long while now, oh well, I can always put some plant pots on them in the summer!! So folks, watch this space ...................

Anyway this card that I have made and am actually going to use, fits in with a few challenges. I've totally lost track so hope I'm in time for these!!

Oh my goodness, have you ever seen anything like it, what ever possessed me to choose purple!!! Nikki from High Hopes Challenge wanted an untraditional Christmas card with red and green kept to a minimum so I thought a challenge, don't use them at all. As I think the High Hopes images are my favourite ever, I just had to have a go!! There was a lovely simple sketch over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge this week too which I thought would be perfect for me as I do simple, especially as my crafting habits seem to be after 9pm!! I decided at 9 o'clock last night that I needed to make a card!! It was nearly 7pm when I got home from work too!! But the need was there. So what to make!! I managed to create this below which will go into two of this weeks challenges.

Wow, what a hectic day yesterday!! Spent the day with Wendy and Karen at the Stamps and Memories Christmas Extravaganza in Kintbury, exhausted or what!! But can you believe, that after all that, we went back to Wendy's and made a card just for the sake of it, trying out Wendy's stamp and my new nesties!!! Copic Colour Challenge 35 and Simon Says ....Sketch

Another card this week, that's three, I'm doing well. It's the stress!! Major works going on here and the place is a mess, just matches my craft room now! Well the old conservatory is down, everything looks so bare and the garden looks huge but it will be all worth it. We now own every brick and tile, mortgage was paid off last week, and what a relief that is too, especially with hubby being out of work but we'll get there in the end!! Let's hope a job will become available for him soon.

Anyway, I thought I would have a go at the Copics Colour Challenge again this week, I'm not convinced that they actually look at any cards, but it's all for fun isn't it and we are all busy people. I have used the Simon Says Sketch so that I can enter that too. I always look at other peoples cards and feel that mine are never as good as theirs, but practice makes perfect and I think I have improved a little!!

Oh, I am so sorry folks for neglecting my blog, I have spent so much time looking at your fab blogs that I have forgotten my own!! My mojo has gone missing and I am having severe problems creating anything at the moment, apart from being really busy too.

Any way this little gem of an image I found whilst blog hopping one evening. Isn't she just gorgeous. She is an image by Inger Harding and is so cute, even though she has no mouth!! Winter Wonderland Challenge week 19 Sleighbells ring

Two cards in one day I hear you say!! I have had this image coloured in since July!! Since Newbury Show to be precise, I just couldn't resist it!! I had real difficulty with this card as the paper that I wanted to use because of the words on it, was square and the image was a huge oblong image. I have cut it down as small as I dare, as unfortunately the paper wasn't big enough to use on an A5 card. It looked a bit too much but needed something else if you know what I mean!! I think the snowflakes work especially as the words say "think of snow, think of sleigh bells". I do hope you all like it?

High Hopes challenge 47 - Lotsa Layers and ABC E is for Embossing

Well today has been a good day, the nice man came and measured for the new conservatory and said it will be here in about 3 weeks. Poor Hubby nearly passed out, as the old one has to be taken down and new footings dug!! It's a good j0b he is still between jobs as he hasn't got time to go to work!!! No, to be fair we have decided to delay until Neil has done the work in his time or else it would be one mad panic and that's just not fair, not only that, we have a lot of sorting to do!! I decided to have a little tidy of my craft room today and it will last for the next few weeks I think. I really need to be ruthless and chuck out but you know what us crafters are like!!! It does look a little more organised, thanks to a few pine spice racks found in the local kitchen shop, ideal for keeping reels of ribbon and stickles etc on. Really pleased with how that idea worked out.

Well another new stamp and I just love her. I have another two of these to go yet, I am addicted to these gorgeous High Hopes Snowmen or Snowladies whichever you want to call them!! And I can't wait for the release of the Wags'n'whiskers stamps!!

Simon Says 24 hour card for Paige/girly challenge and Sketch Saturday challenge week 71

A busy day today, we are nearly celebrating paying off our mortgage, sometime this week and are being measured up for a replacement conservatory tomorrow. Yippee, a craft room with daylight!! Or should I refer to it as my weekend craftroom and keep the other one for the evenings. I can't wait, more room to spread my stash!! Anyway as today is World Cardmaking day, I told hubby that I was going to participate when we got home from shopping. This card covers two challenges. Sketch Saturday also requested pets as an extra and the Simon Says 24 hours challenge is a card for Paige, a young girl in the States that has lost an arm due to a boating accident, bless her. I just love this card, I am really into Christmas cards at the moment, though I must confess to having made this one last week!! Am having problems with inspiration at the mo and have needed to make cards this week too, so have been unable to get rid of my stress. Never mind it's nearly the weekend!! This is another of my new stamps, yes I have loads but don't tell everyone, especially hubby!! And I have just realised that it will fit in with two challenges this week. A Spoon Full of Sugar is Christmas and Simon Says Stamp is red and green so here it is!!

This stamp is called Charley Elf and she is from Cuddley Buddley and I just love her!!

Cute Card Thursday challenge 79 - Buzz Off

Another card from Jo, I hear you say, she must be having a bad week!! You guessed it!! Trouble is it makes me so late to bed so am now exhausted too!! Just can't win. Another challenge that I haven't entered before but it happens to be one of my favourite colours, yellow! I just love yellow, it is so cheerful and we all need a lot of that!! In "real life" this card is beautiful so sparkley and very bright but I haven't got a good light to take the piccie in, apart from the daylight bulb in my husbands birdshed and I'm not going out there at this time of night!! Me, I have to put up with eyestrain but as long as his birds can see, that's OK!!!

Copic Colour Challenge 32 and Cutie Sunday 60

As Hubby was watching the footie on the TV, I decided to be creative tonight!! What an excuse to craft, not that I need an excuse just didn't want to share watching Man U with him!!! Not that I'm not a supportive wife, it's just sometimes he needs time to himself too!! Well that's my excuse anyway!! This one covers two challenges and a challenge that was too!! I just loved this weeks colours and had all three but did I use a lot of pens or what!! This sketch looked really simple for Cute Sunday but it wasn't as easy as I thought with the stamps that I wanted to use!!

So here it is, I have used my new Magnolia stamps for the first time ever, not really sure that Magnolias are for me though. I didn't get the colouring right at all and as for the face well, I will have to pay a visit to the blogs for some tutorials on colouring Magnolias!! I also have a big confession, I bought this one because you can't see that she hasn't got a mouth. This really bugs me and that's why I haven't used them before!!! Sorry folks!! I do like all of the beautiful cards that are made with them though but they're just not for me!!! But saying that I have got another, you guessed the new one with the lollypop!!

Allsorts Challenge Week 19 - Snowflakes in September

As I am in the spirit of making Christmas Cards, how sad is that in the middle of September, I thought I would give this challenge a go this week!! Copic Colour Challenge week 31

This weeks challenge I loved, my colours. I just love these combinations and I could use my favourite papers again. Bet you're all getting fed up with these papers but I just love them so tough!! I only had one of the colours this week so have substituted and tried to keep in with the Autumnal feel. Had a bit of trouble with the old Glossy Accents today, the cat decided he was going to give me a hand or a paw and decided to jump on the table just as I was carrying out the most delicate operation!! Bless him, and yes he has got it on his tail!!

Winter Wonderland Challenge week 16 - A very vintage Christmas

It's Friday!!!! And I have managed to get a card made before the weekend!!!
This weeks challenge really stumped me, didn't have a clue, in fact the only thing I had was a bit of old lace!!! The rest, yes you guessed, I raided Wendy's stash!! I absolutely love this stamp, I'm not sure what it is called but I do know that is definately an Impression Obsession one. Sorry it's a bit boring folks but it's all I could manage!! Better luck next time!!!

I'm now going to see if I can produce something a bit more creative!!

Penny Black Challenge and ABC Challenge - D is for Die Cuts

Another card and it's still only Sunday and yes it covers two challenges again. It's a bit OTT for me again but I needed to put die cuts on it and I thought using the nesties labels was a bit boring so went for something else too. And as it is another Christmas card it has to have a bit of bling on it!! And another thing, no Glossy Accents!!

I can't tell you what stamp or papers I've used as they came out of Wendy's craft cupboard, Wend we need a comment with details!!! Please!!!

Sorry I have been so bad at blogging lately, just don't seem to meet up with my craftroom very often these days!! Still hubby went out with his dad this morning so have had time to myself and have managed to create a card that will cover two challenges, not like me to be this organised. There are loads more challenges that I would like to do but we'll have to see, if only I had more time!!!

This weeks copic colours were way out of my comfort zone again, really really bright, but when I got going I loved it and I actually had all three!!

Winter Wonderland Challenge 15 - Frosty the Snowman

How cute is this, lol, I wish you could see it, so sparkley!!. This weeks Winter Wonderland challenge is Frosty the Snowman. Unfortunately I've used this stamp earlier on my blog but as I have only one snowman stamp that is accessible at the moment I have had to use the same one again!!! I have tried to follow the sketch as best as I could too, but this stamp is rather large and doesn't give much room to add anything else as you can see. Looks a bit OTT but I like it and hope you do too!!

Copic Colour Challenge 29

This weeks Challenge has been a nightmare for me from start to finish but it was determination not to be beaten and a very late night early morning to do it!!! It started off with not having any of the colours or anything near them either!! So a trip to Wendys was called for not that we need an excuse!! I checked before I went and only one of them is available as a Ciao Pen so I then forgot to take the number with me and bought the wrong one!!

Next I choose my papers and made up my card as you do, then totally messed up the image I was using and it was one of Wendys that I had stamped earlier and had already used the spare!!! I then had to find another stamp that fitted the nestabilitie oval that I was using and that would match the papers too. Nightmare!! Anyway this is the result.....

Sketch Saturday

This week I have decided to have a go at the Saturday Sketch challenge, yes I know it's Wednesday but the bank holiday has thrown me all out!!!! I stamped up this image at the Copic Class a couple of weekends ago and thought it would fit this sketch quite nicely. I was rummaging in my papers drawer last week and came across this paper, it must be a couple of years old but thought I would use it as I love the colours. So here it is, I hope you like it.
